I had a tubal ligation about 2.5 yrs ago after our last son was born. I did this based on information that my doctor at the time. He told us our son was healthy, and that “nothing ever happens to babies with two vessel cords”. At only 5 days old, I held our son as he passed away. A result of a two vessel cord. They never tested him to make sure everything was ok. At my six week check up, my doctor told me to go home, grieve & in six months I would never want another child again. My husband and I are now at a point where we are trying to move forward. My new OB/GYN is willing to do the surgery. But the problem is having all the fee up front. Total cost is approximately $7000. I am 38 now, and as each day passes, my chances go down. Chapel Hill won’t perform my surgery due to my weight. I am healthy otherwise, very rarely getting sick. But they won’t budge. Our only option is with my current doctor. Anyone know of any place that will finance?

Hello,Im 36 and a mother of 3 teens.Had Tubaligation in 1997.Im at a time right now that my hubby and I are despertly wanting another child.We have had training to Foster&Adopt. I just feel that Id rather have a child that is from our blood and the kids would adjust better.Im willing to go further in the agency at a later time, but If im able to give birth again then why not go this route.Ive had 3 c-sections so im curious if im able to have another child.This child would have so much love from us and his/her siblings want this to happen also.In the past I was young and unstable and im able and willing now.I pray every night about this and I hope the procedure is at a reasonable price.Hoping for a Miracle.Can this Happen?

I’m 42 years old my question is if your tubes have been tied and burned also with the age factor my fianc’e is 44 what is the probability of pregnancy? I have three beautiful children 23 18 17

When i had my tubes tied i was also 24 i am now 42 and about to be remarried. My fianc’e has no children the dr taht did the surgery cut tied and burned the end. For years i tried to get “used” to the thought of never bearing children again i haven’t yet!

I had a tubal ligation after my 3rd delivery. I am considering reversal not because I desire more children but because my health has fallen apart it seems. My cycles are horrible, I cant practically leave the house..the hot flashes are unbearable, my sides ache constantly. I believe this is all from my tubal. I am getting a physical and blood work done to rule out anything else.
I know with a reversal there is a possiblity I could get pregnant I just can live this way each month.

Hello..i seen you had a reversal done in Shreveport…did the Dr. have a payment plan or was it all up front?…and how did it go?
