I walk very fast as I cannot jog due to a back condition. What other excercises other than walking can I do to take my mind off of smoking? I have set a starting date of March 19th. And have cut down on the amount that I used too smoke. I may have a cigarette every 2 to three hours or so at the time being. Other than excercise and keeping busy is there anything that you could reccomend. I cannot take prescribed medications such as Welbuteral as I have a seizure disorder and can take no anti- depressants of any kind. My roomate and myself are both quitting. She quit this week. I am sticking with my date of the 19th. Can you reccomend anything at all. I am 50 and she is 55yrs. old. We both are being treted for severe anxiety, stress, myself a seizure disorder other than smoking I am in great health, clear lungs, low cholesterol,I cannot take any anti-depressants of any kind as they cause me to have seizures. AS I have stated I try to walk a lot at a very fast past. Could you comment on any other excercises that I may do. My father died of lung cancer and other cancers at the age of 50 and I will be 51 in April and whish to live as long as possible.I have changed my habits as of today and so far have gone over an hour without a butt. Where before I would light up the second I awoke with my coffee. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank You! James Murphy. cryrich57@yahoo.com

Hey Christy, great job so far. Try to keep it up. I've stopped for almost a year now. I know you can do it if you really try.

I have not smoked now for two whole days.I feel like I have came a long way already.I am 35 and have been smoking ever since I was 12. This is not the first time that I have tried to stop I have alot of times I just hope that one of these times will work for me .I think alot of it is will power. You must have enough to take control and not let that cig have the control. My grandmother use to say she will never understand how that little stick controled so many people.
