This is by far the worst diabetic diet article I have ever read. Absolutely rediculous. I have been diabetic for 16 years, and am now what they call a brittle diabetic, and yes it sucks. However, this article gives you no information to help it is only super negative. Yes, you need to watch your sugar intake and how that translates into carbs, sugar-free can often mean higher carb count. Yes, you need to watch what you eat and how the things you eat affect your personal body. Yes, you need to talk to your Doctor about timing as a result of the medications you are taking. Once you learn to listen to your body this becomes second nature, kind a little like potty training, we all had to learn that too. Counting carbs is a great way to deal with diabetes and it is a pain to learn but after time that too becomes second nature. Diabetes can be trying and troublesome but it is not the end of the world, just one more thing to learn how to deal with and once you do it is just a way of life.

I have struggled with diabetes for 18 years. It has effected my relationship with God, my wife, family and friends. The best way to win the fight is to pray, eat a low carb. diet, and take an herbal supplement that works called Combetic.

I was upset a little when I read the above article. The new research indicates that sugar is not any more important than other carbohydrates. Diabetics need eat carbs in the right amounts according to what is prescribed by their doctor or nutritionist. Sugar is just one carb the others are just as important.

Sue,
Whatever you do, please don't take your own life. I sure there are people out there that can help you out and you might not even know for sure if the doctor is right. Plus, there's more than one kind of diabetes, which I'm sure you know, and if you do have it, it probably isn't nearly as bad as what your husband had.
