How to Remove Your Moles

 By Dr Anne

Moles can be both ugly and dangerous (due to higher risk of cancer), and so sometimes it is best to remove them.

But there are many ways removing moles can be done unsafely, and some of the most common methods of mole removal can leave scars that are worse than the mole in the first place.

Moles are actually technically called melanocytic naevus. They are dark and sometimes raised spots on the surface of the skin, and can appear or disappear at ANY time of your life.

Consider how you want your moles to be removed. Doctors will normally remove moles with a little knife and that is probably the cheapest way to do it, but it can really leave an ugly scar. Having your moles removed with a laser is pretty expensive but it usually won’t leave any noticeable marks.

Cut a small tube from a plain potato and put on the wart or mole. Cover it with the same tape or bandage and leave for 4-7 days. As the potato decomposes, the wart or mole will turn black and fall off.

Observe the size and color of your moles. Visit a dermatologist or a surgeon to inquire whether the moles need surgical treatment. If yes, get them removed professionally. If no, take steps to remove them naturally.

Prepare a list of items useful in removing moles naturally. Cauliflowers, garlic, pineapple, castor oil, honey, fig stems and hot water with vinegar are considered effective in mole removal. Select only one from the mentioned items.

Although laser has been tried for moles, it is not the method of choice for most deep moles because the laser light doesn’t penetrate deeply enough. Typically, the doctor or dermatologist (a skin specialist) may choose excision with or without stitches depending on the depth of the mole and the type of cosmetic outcome desired.

Wash the moles with hot water five to six times a day. Let your skin dry, then apply cider vinegar to your moles with cotton swabs. Let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

The most common method of mole removal is actually simple surgery by a doctor using a scalpel. This can be both painful and leave a scar. Other surgical procedures are freezing and burning, which again, are both painful and leave scarring.

You now have the ability to eradicate moles in just a few days. Then, watch them heal right before your eyes revealing fresh, beautiful skin. This simple process will change your life, both physically and mentally. You will have a mole free body in no time without the hassle of doctor’s visits and the outrageous office fees.

Apply the extract of the milkweed herb on the mole and leave it overnight. Do this home remedy for a week. You will see the mole is on the verge of disappearing. This is very effective home remedy for moles

by: Bill Wilson

Thought you finally outgrew the days of bad skin and pimples? Well, think again! Many adults suffer from acne in their late twenties and thirties, even those that had never experienced the problem in adolescence. There are generally two types of adult acne – the more common form called Acne Vulgaris, and the more rare form called Acne Rosacea.

It is estimated that up to 85% of the American population between the ages of 12 to 24 years of age have suffered from some form of Acne Vulgaris. However, only about 5% of the population, or 13 million people, experience the aggravation and “rosy” cheeks of Acne Rosacea.

Acne Rosacea is a skin condition that is generally restricted to the face and eyes. It generally affects people between the ages of 30 to 60 years old. The condition is characterized by pimples, redness, and broken blood vessels.

<!--
google_ad_client = "pub-8096163373271288";

google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_ad_channel = "";
google_color_border = "FFFFFF";
google_color_bg = "FFFFFF";
google_color_link = "0000FF";
google_color_text = "000000";
google_color_url = "000000";

At the onset, a person’s cheeks may tend to blush or flush very easily. However, as the rosacea develops further, redness will be noticeable around the nose area, and then extend over the remainder of the face. An extreme case might experience enlarged oil glands in the nose that can lead to an enlarged and bulbous red nose.

For those suffering from this condition, almost 50% will have issues extending to their eyes. Eye symptoms may include burning and tearing, redness, inflamed eyelids, or a scratchy feeling of something in the eyes.

Acne Rosacea is not medically dangerous, but is also incurable. The good news is that it can be controlled with treatment. The goal of the treatments is to minimize the symptoms and reduce sensitivity of the skin and eyes.

The first step in determining a treatment regimen is to identify possible “triggers”, which will be different for each individual. Acne Rosacea generally flares-up when an affected person is exposed to certain environmental or dietary conditions. Some common “triggers” may include hot baths, exercise, wind, cold weather, and certain skin products. This is by no means a comprehensive list.

The key to relief is to identify those conditions which tend to aggravate your Rosacea. Easier said then done, you say? Not really.

The National Rosacea Society recommends that you maintain a symptom diary. The purpose of your diary is to record what was eaten or the conditions immediately prior to the onset of a Rosacea flare-up. Over a few weeks time, you should start to see a pattern form that will give you insight into your own “triggers”. Of course, once you have these “triggers” identified, you can avoid these conditions by modifying your lifestyle or eating habits.

Other factors can also contribute to the exacerbation of Rosacea and should be avoided if at all possible. These factors include: avoiding direct sunlight, reducing stress, avoiding long workouts or exertion in hot weather, and limiting spicy foods and hot beverages.

Besides avoiding known “triggers”, symptoms can be treated with oral or topical antibiotics. Other medications similar to vitamin A are utilized in more extreme cases and are only available through your dermatologist. Also, laser surgery is available as a treatment alternative for reducing enlarged tissue on the nose and improving overall physical appearance.

Regardless if it’s for the wrinkles on your cheeks or the dimples on your legs, companies such as Lancome, Este Lauder, and Clinique will have what you’re searching for. Cosmetic brands are a dime a dozen, but how do you find what’s right for you? It’s prudent to do some research first. So when you’re out and about, frolicking down the isles of your favorite department store, chat with some cosmetic ladies. They can give you loads of info on their products and what to expect.

Since our lifelong battle with time is never coming to a halt, anti wrinkle aids will only continue to crowd our local cosmetic counters and home bathrooms. Online you can find hundreds of anti wrinkle solutions along with testimonials on their effectiveness. It is surely beneficial to consult your favorite search engine before coming to any conclusions on what to buy. Many of these high-end creams and miracle solutions can run you into some big bucks. Fortunately you might find the face moisturizer and eye cream of your choice at the local drugstore for a much less stressful price. Although many may not know, a good amount of the less expensive anti wrinkle treatments do not carry a heavy price tag.

There’s good news for the hundreds of thousands of people who suffer with psoriasis. Psoriasis is a skin condition characterised by scaly red blotches which commonly appear on the elbows and knees but can affect the entire body including the scalp.

Researchers have discovered a special extract of the plant Mahonia aquifolium contains potent alkaloids that are effective in the fight against Psoriasis, Eczema and related skin conditions. Using the extract in controlled, clinical studies, the researchers went on to demonstrate that Mahonia aquifolium can effectively alleviate symptoms in 4 out of 5 psoriasis sufferers!

So, what is Mahonia aquifolium?

Mahonia aquifolium is widespread in the forests of North America, and is also known as the cultivated plant ‘Mahonia’. It is commonly found in gardens and parks growing as high as 1 – 2 metres with ever-green, leathery pinnate leaves, with a very shiny upper surface and a thorny toothed edge.

It’s yellow buds develop into blue , frost-covered berries which contain a dark-red juice and contain 2-5 shiny seeds. The berries are edible and are used to make wine and brandy. The bark of roots and stems contain alkaloids which have a number of therapeutic properties.

In North American medicine, Mahonia aquifolium has been traditionally used to treat fever, diarrhoea, dyspepsia, gout, rheumatic ailments, kidney and liver diseases, but most prominently for skin complaints. However, only in the last five years have scientists discovered how and why this herbal extract is so beneficial for psoriasis sufferers.

Research

Mahonia aquifolium has been recommended by Medical Herbalists for many years for people suffering from Psoriasis & Eczema. It has been applied topically and taken internally and both forms have been shown to be effective.

The first study to attract media attention about Mahonia aquifolium was an open, prospective multi centre trial in 89 dermatological practices in Germany, where 433 patients with subacute and chronic forms of psoriasis were treated with Mahonia aquifolium ointment.

Of the 433 patients who entered into the study, 375 were treated over the planned period of 12 weeks, or dropped out of the study early because of total clearing of the skin, A modified PASI score fell significantly from 5.5 plus or minus 4.0 to 2.3 plus or minus 2.6.

According to an overall evaluation by dermatologists, symptoms improved or disappeared in 81.1% of patients; and according to a subjective evaluation by the patients, 79.7% improved or healed completely. The tolerability of Mahonia aquifolium ointment was evaluated as good or very good by 82.4% of patients.

Significant improvement

There was a significant improvement in the quality of life, which was used as a subjective parameter throughout the study. While 30.1% of patients had significant or severe symptoms at the start, this was the case for only 5.6% after 12 weeks. M. aquifolium ointment is thus a well-tolerated preparation which should find a place in the treatment of psoriasis.

Later, in a multi-centred, randomised, controlled study, 93 patients suffering from mild to moderately severe psoriasis received treatment by either topical application of Mahonia aquifolium ointment or internal ingestion of Mahonia aquifolium extract. At the end of the treatment, significant improvement had occurred in more than 70 per cent of patients in both groups.

More recently, an article published in 2005 in the American Journal of Therapeutics detailed a further three studies all of which confirmed the beneficial effects of Mahonia aquifolium in the treatment of Psoriasis.

The first study was an open-label study to evaluate the safety of Mahonia aquifolium in 39 patients treated for 12 weeks. Assessments made were modified PASI, global assessment, psoriasis history questionnaire, Dermatology Life Quality Index, and Psoriasis Disability Index. The results revealed a statistically significant improvement in PASI score and Dermatology Life Quality Index after just four weeks of treatment.

The patients were followed up a month later and the positive outcomes were shown to have continued.

In the second study, a clinical trial involving 32 patients with mild to moderate bilateral psoriasis treated up to 6 months. One side of the body received Mahonia and the other standard psoriatic treatment (eg, Dovonex cream). The primary outcomes were patient ratings of the Mahonia-treated side alone and the comparison between treatments received on each side of their body.

The results revealed that eighty-four percent of patients rated the Mahonia-treated psoriasis as ‘good to excellent’ response. When compared with standard treatment, 63% of patients rated Mahonia aquifolium ‘equal to or better’ than the standard psoriatic treatment.

Improvement with ONE week

Study 3 was an observational study of 33 patients with mild to moderate bilateral psoriasis treated for a one month period. The results showed improvement in psoriasis after just one week of treatment. The side treated with Mahonia did as well or better than the side treated with the vehicle cream.

The report concluded that results from all three clinical trials are in agreement with published data that include placebo-controlled studies. Taken together, these clinical studies conducted by several investigators in several countries indicate that Mahonia aquifolium is a safe and effective treatment of patients with mild to moderate psoriasis.

Conclusion

Mahonia aquifolium offers real hope to thousands of Psoriasis sufferers and is, without doubt, the safest & most effective herbal psoriasis treatment available. No other controlled studies (even those using corticosteroids) have produced such outstanding results. And, of course, the added benefit of Mahonia Aquifolium is that it is a completely natural, herbal preparation, and unlike steroids, has no major adverse side effects. The leading & original brand of Psoriasis products containing Mahonia aquifolium is called ‘M-Folia’ and is available from http://www.taylor-jackson.com.

What is Eczema?

Eczema or as some people call it dermatitis, is a skin condition that can strike males or females of all ages. The disease varies greatly in both the area affected and in severity. Common symptoms of mild eczema can include dry, hot and itchy skin but more severe forms of the condition can result in the skin becoming raw, broken and bleeding. Contrary to popular belief, eczema is not a contagious disease in spite of its often unsightly appearance. There is a range of treatments available for eczema but the affected areas will always be prone to inflammation in the future.

Firstly, there are several different types of eczema and accordingly there is a range of causes and triggers. Atopic eczema is considered to be genetically related and is therefore thought to be a hereditary condition. Most forms of eczema are at least in part, due environmental factors to which the body overreacts to. The condition is an auto immune disease in which the immune system produces and excessive response to harmless allergens or mild concentrations of chemicals and detergents. Case of eczema in children is not adequately dealt with in this article but it is further explained at http://www.eczemababies.com . Cases of eczema that occur later in life are sometimes caused by a lack of circulation and some experts believe that stress may play a part in the recurrence of inflammation.

What are the different types of Eczema?

There a several different types of eczema, including:

-Atopic Eczema
-Allergic Contact Dermatitis
-Irritant Contact Dermatitis
-Infantile Seborrhoeic Eczema
-Adult Seborrhoeic Eczema
-Varicose Eczema
-Discoid Eczema

How is eczema cured?

There is no cure currently available for eczema but there are a range of treatments aimed at minimizing the symptoms of the skin disease. Topical creams and skin care products are useful but the key to managing the disease is the identification of chemicals, allergens and detergents that exacerbate the disease. By identifying these irritants they can be avoided or eliminated from daily life. In the absence of a cure, the limitation of exposure to irritants can be an effective preventative measure.

What is acne rosacea? Well it is not acne. The symptoms of acne and acne rosacea overlap, but they are distinct skin conditions… Acne rosacea affects the facial area and is most common in fair skinned women between the ages of 30 and 60. When men are affected by this skin disorder their symptoms are often particularly severe. Acne rosacea cannot be cured but the disease can be treated and controlled with the help of a dermatologist.

The early stages of acne rosacea are characterized by frequent reddening of the facial area. It is suspected that individuals who blush frequently are more susceptible to developing acne rosacea. If you have a history of frequent blushing, it may be difficult to distinguish between a normal blush and the beginnings of this skin disorder, since the redness of acne rosacea is intermittent in the early stages of the disease. If your blushing skin burns when you apply lotions or your face is swollen, you may be experiencing the early symptoms of acne rosacea. If you experience these symptoms and do not have a history of frequent blushing, you may need to seek acne rosacea treatment.

As the disease progresses the face become ruddier and is discolored more frequently. Small red solid bumps may begin to appear on the skin of the face. Visible blood vessels and pimples will also appear. Blackheads, a normal symptom of acne, do not appear with the pimples of an acne rosacea sufferer. In severe cases of this disease the skin of the face may thicken and the nose may become bulbous.

The eyes of fifty percent of acne rosacea suffers are affected by this disease. The eyelids become inflamed, and the eyes are red and irritated. Tearing and frequent sty’s are common when acne rosacea affect the eye area. In severe cases loss of vision may occur. When the eyes become infected, the treatment plan includes oral antibiotics and a strict eye cleansing routine. Steroid eye drops may also be prescribed.

There is no cure for this skin disorder but acne rosacea treatment includes topical antibiotics to reduce the skin inflammation and pimples. Other forms of acne rosacea treatment include oral antibiotics and long term topical therapy to keep outbreaks under control. Most doctors also realize acne rosacea treatment should also include assessment for depression since this disease is disfiguring and embarrassing to it’s’ victims.

Aggressive acne rosacea treatment also includes the use of lasers to remove visible blood vessels and reduce redness. Surgery may be indicated in cases where the nose has become disfigured.

Once diagnosed with acne rosacea, it is important to follow an acne rosacea skin care routine. Mild, non abrasive cleansers are recommended. The acne rosacea patient should not use rough cloths or extremely hot or cold water on their faces. Lukewarm water and soft cotton towels are the best options for acne rosacea skin care. Constant use of sun block, (SPF 15 or higher) should be used daily. Make up can be part of an acne rosacea skin care routine, if it does not further irritate the skin.

Currently there is research being conducted on this skin disorder. As the population ages, an increase in acne rosacea is expected. While there is no cure today, research may develop a cure tomorrow.

A common problem that affects most of us as teens is acne. While 80 percent of us struggle with this affliction, many have trouble controlling it. Acne blemish control typically begins with assessing the problem at hand. Most of us don’t have a clue how to properly fight pimples and breakouts, therefore we take a clueless route, which only begets more acne. Acne blemish control is done through understanding and proper skin care.

I’m sure many people recall the hardships of their adolescent years. The insecurities, the hormones, the pizza face. When I first noticed a pimple on my face, I did what most naive teens do, and popped it. This is a mistake on several levels. First of all, popping a blemish can cause scaring. In addition, when you pinch or squeeze a zit, you only irritate it further. A more efficient road would be to treat it with some form of acme blemish control. There are a deluge of products gracing the drugstore shelves these days. Controlling and destroying our acne doesn’t have to be so painful.

<!--

To become better educated on acne blemish control, it is prudent to seek advice from a dermatologist. They can give you proper guidance in controlling your breakouts. There are a number of prescriptions available to fight this ego crusher. Back in high school, my best friend was severely affected by acne breakouts. He was that guy people made fun of and called pizza face and blemish boy. Not only was his face covered, but he had the classic “backne” as well. I could tell that this was a huge shot to his self confidence. A large problem was his acne blemish control method. He would literally wash his face six times a day. This is overkill, which results in severe drying. Eventually he found a remedy through a dermatology clinic.

A great source to resort to today is the Internet. You can find an abundance of information on skin types, and levels of acne. Acne blemish control no longer consists of rubbing alcohol on a zit you just popped. There are solutions and treatments galore at your very reach. Whether you’re looking for a mild exfoliant to cure your breakouts, or a three step system to deal with more severe blemishes, you will find a remedy online. If you wish to get a more immediate treatment, the drugstore down the street will likely carry a variety of acne fighters.
